In March 2016 the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm opened its annual tulip fest, where you can walk among the flowers in all their dazzling glory. So many colors. So intense, so beautiful. One of the best places in the Pacific Northwest. Members of the Portland Instagram Group, of which I am a founder, held an instameet among the tulip fields. A drizzly good time! (I shot with a Canon 6D and a t3i; none of the images is edited.)
Back to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Fest 2016
It was a gloriously sunny morning in April 2016, so it was a good idea to return to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Woodburn, Oregon. We arrived a little after sunrise; a thick fog was still there, though burning off quickly, and four hot air balloons were landing and taking off among the tulips. You couldn't ask for anything more lovely.
Flower Walk, 22 April 2016: Farewell to Portland's Richmond District
Just after sunset on 22 April 2016, I walked around a couple of the blocks in my Portland neighborhood taking a few photos of the many dazzling flowers along the sidewalk.
