Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden, Winter 2019

One of the best natural oases in the thick of “close in” SE Portland is the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden. It’s about 10 acres of lush beauty, filled with many Pacific Northwest plants, most notably of course rhododendrons. These images I took on a drizzly February day with the first flowers coming out and the ducks preparing for their spring hatchlings. I was lucky enough to spot a kingfisher, breathtakingly beautiful, as well. The air was fresh and invigorating, filled with wonderful flower scents and ozone from the rain.

All of the shots are from my Canon 6D and 100mm 2.8, except for the final handful, which are from my iPhone Xr.

See all my posts from this lovely garden.

Nice person in Portland, Oregon, and beyond.
